About Me

Hi, my name is Melissa Chanthalangsy.

Currently, I work in tech.

I started this blog when I dove into writing as a creative outlet during the Great Resignation of 2021. At the time, I became a full-time writer with the long-term intention of bringing historically excluded voices to the page and screen.

I earned my MBA at the University of Rochester Simon Business School, during which I worked for a Fortune 100. Upon graduating, I accepted a role at a civic consulting firm that analyzed community feedback on locally-led municipal change.

In my early career, I implemented clean energy infrastructure at the City of Rochester, NY and advised on climate policy at the US Department of Energy in Washington DC.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago, where I also led research for the Program on the Global Environment.

When I’m not writing, I watch movies and TV shows, cook, read, practice yoga, and I always make sure to get my monthly fix of phó. Thanks for reading!
