‘Tis the Season! To Get Rid of Anything That No Longer Serves You

Greetings earthlings!

Last week, I said I’d post on Monday (the 20th), and guess what… I forgot! 🙈 The day got away from me.

Have you ever felt like you go into a trance while deep cleaning the house? 🧹🧼 Especially in advance of the holidays when you’re extra motivated to get it done?

I also ran a few errands to avoid spilling those tasks over onto 2022.

Thank you for your understanding on a second missed post! 😊

Our household is in the process of decluttering. It’s the perfect time of year to take inventory of what is in our home to decide what we’ll carry forward into the new year.

Whatever we no longer use is being sold, donated, or thrown away.

I spent a few hours last weekend listing items on Facebook Marketplace where I found decent success. Perhaps more buyers and sellers find each other there than on Craigslist – somewhere I used to frequent mostly to sell.

Ever since we started listing stuff, we’ve been looking around the house for more items to sell.

I now see the appeal of flipping furniture for additional income. Transforming an old piece into something new and desirable for others to enjoy.

The more I declutter, the more I want to declutter. I love it when I enter a ruthless headspace to eliminate anything that isn’t serving me. 🙅🏻‍♀️

There’s nothing more freeing on a mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual plane than getting rid of anything that no longer serves you.

Our home is now more spacious and inviting than it was last year. Progress!

I’ve been getting inspired by Malama Life on Youtube on minimalism and slow, intentional living. Getting rid of stuff allows for more intentional living with the items we use or don’t. I’ll put a link to her video down below.

I hope your holiday season has been peaceful and enjoyable and that you’ve been surrounded by love. Until next year! 🎉🥳👏🤩🙏🏼🍾

See you in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣!
