Why me, why now

Why me? Why now?

Simply put, I have a story to tell. And I want to share it with the world. That is why I’m here today.

The world needs more stories that haven’t been told; stories that haven’t been shared; stories from those who have been both silent and silenced. Stories from those left behind and brushed aside. Stories from those systemically made to feel like their voices don’t matter or their voices won’t matter. And I’m here to say that it’s simply not true. Our voices do matter, and my voice matters.

Now more than ever, the world needs people to be brave, courageous, vulnerable, strong.

Now more than ever, the world craves connection, community, healing, hope.

Now more than ever, the world is rebuilding itself, re-examining its infrastructures, and recognizing the failures of a system that was never built for “we the people.”

My value-add is my perspective. This blog and these stories are brought to you by me. Melissa Chanthalangsy. Lao French American, millennial, Asian, female, woman, queer, bisexual. In no particular order. I am here to be my full authentic self. Finally!

As always, thanks for reading, and see you soon.
